Sourcing with Purpose

  • We work hand-in-hand with many of Maine’s 150 independently-owned oyster farms

  • We focus on purchasing excess oysters—those that are oversized, cosmetically unique, or otherwise unsuitable for raw bars.

  • By purchasing these oysters that would otherwise go unused, we create new revenue streams for farmers and help them free up valuable farm space for future growth.

Our state-of-the-art facility in Brunswick is where those excess Maine oysters are transformed in premium, ready-to-enjoy products. 

We ensure our facility and our employees are up-to-date on all of the quintessential regulations, to ensure our team is creating the most premium quality products as safely as possible.

Nor'Easter Oyster Co is a woman-owned aquaculture business, and Southern Maine’s first shellfish processing facility. Our mission is to create new revenue opportunities for local Maine sea farmers by purchasing excess oysters, that would otherwise go unused, and transforming them into premium seafood products.
